Standardization of Vehicle Diesel Exhaust Fluid(ADBLUE/DEF/AUS32).

1. Development of Europe

Under the EU's strict emission requirements for automobile pollutants, the German Automobile Industry Association seted up a working group in early 2001 to study and formulate the standardization of aqueous urea solutionused in the SCR technology route, which was later renamed "AdBlue Working Group". In this working group, relevant European car and engine manufacturers, together with manufacturers of urea solution storage, application systems, and commercial vehicle operators, participate in the formulation of: A. Standardization and quality requirements for aqueous urea solution; B. Aqueous urea solution in vehicles C. Diameter and requirements of aqueous urea solution storage tank; D. Antifreeze measures foraqueous urea solution; E. Symbol and name ofaqueous urea solution, etc.



The industrial standard v70070 published by Germany in August 2003 defined a liquid aqueous urea solution with a product quality of 32.5% as a reducing agent, which laid the foundation for the later European norm and the ISO22241 standard of the International Organization for Standardization.



2. Development in the United States

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), U.S. diesel engine, commercial vehicle manufacturers and vehicle business organizations have demonstrated the SCR technology route, and agreed that this technology is the U.S. diesel engine vehicle emission reduction route, which meets the 2007 U.S. air pollution gas an option for emissions caps and improved fuel economy.



3. Development in Japan

Japan introduced new diesel engine exhaust emission standards in 2007, which will meet Euro 4/Euro 5 requirements. Japan's "Ministry of International Trade and Industry" has formed a working group in the summer of 2003 to consider SCR selective catalytic reduction technology as a solution for reducing nitrogen oxide emissions in Vehicle diesel engine vehicles.



4. Development in China

In 2008, Beijing, China first formulated and implemented Beijing 4 emission standards with reference to the Euro 4 emission standards for diesel engines. Subsequently, Shanghai and Shenzhen successively formulated and implemented relevant standards in accordance with the Euro 4 emission standards in 2010 and 2011. On July 1, 2013, all heavy-duty diesel engine vehicles implemented the National 4 emission standard.
