PRODUCT DETAILS

Tannery and dyeing laboratory drum is the machinery in the leather making process, and all tanners will have it. The rotating drum is actually a large wooden drum or a drum of other materials. The leather material rotates in the drum to wash the raw leather, degreasing, tanning, and Fatliquoring.

Tanning refers to the process of tanning raw hides into leather. The hair and non-collagen fibers are removed, and the collagen fibers in the dermis are appropriately loosened, fixed and strengthened, and then a series of chemical (including biochemical) and mechanical treatments such as finishing (treatment) are applied.

The tanning process is usually divided into three stages: preparation, tanning, and finishing. The most used equipment in the tanning process is the drum. Soaking, liming, depilation, softening, pickling, tanning, dyeing, emulsion oiling and other processes are all completed in the drum. The mechanical action of the drum promotes various chemicals. The uniform penetration of the material completes the chemical effect of the preparation on the skin.

The preparation process for light leather and heavy leather is roughly the same. The raw hides of the same specification and production area are formed into production batches according to the product requirements, and a series of chemical treatments are carried out to make the fiber structure of the raw hides loose. Remove unnecessary substances in raw hides, and remove various non-collagen components in the dermis as much as possible without damaging the collagen, creating the necessary conditions for tanning. Since the thickness of light leather is much thinner than the natural thickness of the raw leather, it is necessary to start a series of treatments on the natural thickness of the raw leather with various machines from the preparation section. For example, the raw hides after liming should be removed by a meat peeler; the semi-finished products after liming or tanning should be split to the required thickness with a splitting machine according to the required thickness of the leather.
